German Manoeuvres of 1912

Kaiser Wilhlem (left) and Franz Ferdinand (right) out for a spin, apparently, with (pasted in?) Zeppelin (right) and another German airship (left).

The German Manoueuvres of 1912, like the French Manoeuvres of 1912 and the British Manoeuvres of 1912], underscored the military importance of aircraft. In particular the Germans used aircraft to improve artillery sighting.[1]
