Patent BE-1913-258868

That is, “The blade has a narrowing form analogous to that of the gouge of a carpenter or furniture maker; the tapering has a narrowing down to five percent relative to the thickness of the blade at the point considered.”

(We are studying "pale", or "pale d'hélice", as tentatively the blunter or thicker edge of the propeller blade. See Pale on French wikipedia.)
